What code handover actually looks like

Every agency says you keep the code. Fewer say what that actually includes. A repository without the infrastructure it deploys to, the environment variables it needs, and the reasoning behind its harder decisions isn't a handover — it's a snapshot.

Our checklist: the application repo, the infrastructure-as-code that provisions it, a runbook for common operational tasks, and short architecture decision records for anything a new engineer would otherwise have to reverse-engineer.

None of this is exotic. It's just work that's easy to skip when nobody's asking for it yet — and expensive to reconstruct later when someone finally does.
